About My Art
My name is Steven Watson, also known as StainsByStev, and I’m an acrylic artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
All of my pieces are hand-painted with brushes and often sponges – the classic texture that you see in my nebulae is created by using sponges.
I’m inspired by space and the colours of the natural world – you will see that my pieces are bright, colourful, and often unsaturated. I don’t paint this world, but the world that I imagine.
I have Synesthesia, so often I paint how emotions, words or experiences feel to me if they were a spacescape.
I try to keep my art as affordable as possible; I hope that you’ll find a piece you love and choose to brighten up your home with it!

Are all of the pieces available online the original artwork?
Unless stated otherwise, all pieces available on my website are originals painted by me. It will state that it is an original piece by me on the product page.
Prints will clearly state that they are prints.
